About Ongoing Engagement Surveys

Use ongoing engagement surveys instead of an annual survey to get continuous feedback using a rotating sample of employees.

The Ongoing Engagement Survey is a survey type in Retain that gives you a new way to hear from employees at no extra cost. Instead of surveying everyone at once, it collects feedback continuously and uses random sampling, so a different group of people is surveyed over time.

This approach gives you steady visibility into engagement, burnout, and satisfaction, and it gives every employee an equal chance to be heard. Frontline managers also get coaching insights they can act on.

These surveys go to active, tenured employees who have been with the company for at least 100 days. Each employee receives a survey no more than once every 120 days.

NOTE: Use the Ongoing Engagement Survey as an alternative to the existing Engagement Survey, not alongside it.
