We are changing our HRIS or payroll vendor. What do we need to do to update Retain?

When you change your HRIS or payroll system, we set up a new connection so Retain keeps getting your employee data. It's a lot like onboarding, without the user training.

Here's what's involved:

• Your new vendor sets up a daily employee data file and a secure (SFTP) connection to Retain.
• We provide the requirements: a setup guide and a sample import file for your vendor to follow. If you send active and discharged employees in separate files, we can provide a sample for each.
• Your vendor sends us a test file, and we check that the data is clean and in the right format. Building the file can take a few weeks on the vendor's side.
