The Retain Recognition and Rewards add-on is designed to help organizations celebrate employees, encourage teamwork, and build a culture of appreciation.

This article explains what the Recognition and Rewards add-on is, how to set it up, and how to use its features.

The Recognition and Rewards add-on is a point-based recognition platform that allows employees to:

  • Send and receive recognition
  • Celebrate milestones
  • View team leaderboards
  • Redeem points for rewards (if enabled)

By combining social appreciation, milestone celebrations, and rewards, this tool helps boost morale, strengthen engagement, and create a more connected workplace.

Setting Up the Recognition and Rewards Capability


Activation by the Implementation Team

The Activated Insights Implementation Team will enable this capability for your organization.

They will also work with you to:

  • Set your point redemption value
  • Determine your monthly employee point allowance

Once this is complete, you are ready to begin using the Recognition and Rewards feature.


Create a Tremendous Account (If Using Rewards)

If your organization plans to allow employees to redeem points for gift cards or other rewards, you must first create a Tremendous account.

Tremendous is a gift card and rewards platform used to fund and distribute rewards.


Link Tremendous to Retain

After creating your Tremendous account, you will need to link it to your Retain organization through the Admin Dashboard.

This connection allows employees to redeem earned points for dollar-based rewards.

Important:

The Tremendous account is managed and funded by your organization. Activated Insights does not fund or manage this account.

Some organizations may have internal policies regarding the types of rewards they can offer.

Tremendous provides options such as:

  • Gift cards
  • Charitable donations
  • Other reward types

It is the organization’s responsibility to manage reward options in compliance with its internal policies.


Notify Your Employees

Once setup is complete, notify your employees or associates that Recognition and Rewards (Engage) is now available.

A communication template is available to help you announce the new feature.
