Learn how it all works, including how employees can give recognition, earn points, and redeem awards.

Home Page – Announcements and News Feed

The Home Page is the main landing page for all staff members.

From the Home Page, users can:

View their point balance
Recognize a co-worker
View Announcements
See the News Feed

This is where employees will interact most often with the rewards tool.

Announcements are posted by Retain admins and go out to the whole organization. The News Feed shows the day-to-day activity for your location, like recognitions, birthdays, work anniversaries, and milestones. If org-wide visibility is on, your feed shows this activity for the whole organization.

Leaderboard

The Leaderboard shows how you rank against other staff in your location, based on the points you've earned over the last 365 days. If org-wide visibility is on, the ranking includes everyone in the organization.

This feature helps encourage friendly competition and increased engagement.

Recognitions

The Recognitions page allows users to easily view:

Recognition they have given
Recognition they have received

This page provides a complete history of recognition activity.

Peer-to-Peer Recognition

Peer-to-peer recognition lets you recognize coworkers in your location. If org-wide visibility is on, you can recognize anyone in the organization.

Recognition can be submitted from:

The Home Page
A user’s Profile page

When a user selects Send Recognition, the recognition:

Does not require Admin review
Is posted directly to the News Feed

When you send recognition, it doesn't need admin review (unlike External-to-Staff Recognition). It's posted straight to the News Feed, so you can celebrate a coworker right away.

Each month, you get a set number of points to give out, and you include some of those points with each recognition. Your organization sets this monthly amount and can adjust it for individual locations.

Core Values (Optional)

Your organization can add a list of core values to choose from when you recognize someone. If it's set up, you can tag one or more core values with your recognition, and your organization may make choosing a core value required.

External-to-Staff Recognition

External recognition lets clients, residents, customers, and other people outside your organization recognize your staff. Learn more about how external recognition works.
