Invite and Reminder Schedules
See when Retain sends survey invitations and reminders, and when each survey expires.
A survey isn't active until its invitation goes out, and Retain doesn't turn a survey on for everyone at once. Invitations go out during each location's business hours (9 AM to 7 PM), so eastern locations are invited before western ones.
New hires get a welcome message 3 days after their hire date, before their first survey. It's their first message from Retain and lets them set up their profile.

If a new hire misses two surveys in a row, you're alerted 14 days after the second. See when you're notified if a new hire skips a survey.
Keep in Mind
- Invites and reminders use the employee's preferred contact method, email or text, and stop once they respond.
- Deleting an invitation doesn't stop the reminders, unless the employee marked Retain as spam or junk.
- Administrators get a heads-up the week before the engagement survey starts.
